Jonathan Gibson is a multi-disciplinary designer & creative director from the UK.

My name is Jonny Gibson, a designer and creative director from the UK with over a decade of commercial design experience.

I’ve worked across all manner of disciplines and for clients of every size – producing visually stunning and award winning creative experiences fuelled by insight and imagination.

Whether it's building out robust design systems, or art directing campaign shoots, I wear a lot of creative hats. I'm detail oriented, but creative and conceptual at the core –just as happy working at 3200% or sketching ideas out on a whiteboard.

This varied experience has given me a well rounded and broad skill set, as well as a wholistic understanding of what it takes to create beautiful and effective design solutions – no matter what the opportunity.

Alongside my practical skills, I have plenty of experience leading projects, building and developing creative teams, and working as a consultant for brand and design strategy.

I am a passionate and creative designer, an empathetic thinker and a commercially sensitive project leader. I understand the importance of two way relationships and strive to work with clients to create work that is both beautiful and useable.

I am also a passionate type designer and member of the typographic circle. This lead me to found Studio Buchanan, a creative type design foundry, in 2016. In just the 4 years since inception we have released eight commercially available typefaces and worked with several global brands to develop custom type solutions. I also deliver lectures and workshops on type design.
